Please reach us at triquetra24@protonmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Clothing must be freshly washed please. Thicker fabrics really hold scents and smells. If you washed last year and stored, likely the clothing will have picked up a storage/basement smell. All items will be smelled at drop off, and for the atmosphere of the shop, musty clothing cannot be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
The long and short of it is we will split the final selling price of your item "50%/50%". This model is different from other consignors who take 60% or even 70% of the final selling price. This is a "50/50" partnership between us! (See selling price and discounts below.)
AS OF MARCH 1: Accepting Items for Spring/Summer! (90 days from March 1 will be June 1 for the end of your 90 days on the floor!)
EFFECTIVE NOW: No longer accepting long sleeved items. (By the time they hit 90 days we'll be into July!)
We accept clean, washed clothing considered "still in fashion" from non-smoking households. We are looking for ladies/men's/teenager/children/baby activewear, pajamas, outdoor, working, and fancy etc. clothing items.
We will take ALL clothing, but the reality is that L/Plus sell faster than S/M
Yes! These items will be considered if they are in excellent condition.
In order to maintain a good work/life balance for this small endeavor, appointments help keep our calendar manageable. A lot of our cataloging is done outside of our store hours. We therefore recommend bringing in a "manageable" bag of clothing (under 50 pieces).
Either you can let us set the pricing (take a look around the store and see how it works!) or together we will decide the best selling price based on brand, condition, and purchasing trends at the moment. This ensures the seller receives what they feel is a fair price, the shopper is receiving a quality deal, and the store retains a reputation for variety and value.
In addition to the selling model on our home page, you will be asked to sign a contract declaring you have the right to donate and/or place the items into consignment, and that Triquetra is not responsible for damages occurring that are out of our control (fire, flood, theft, misuse by customers, etc.) This is an insurance company requirement.
This ensures there will be no stagnation with the clothing offered for sale and will make inventory easier to manage.
All tags will be dated when the item hits the floor. There is a "Discount Pricing" board on the wall that's updated daily with the % reduction for dates. Tags are verified at check-out.
At the moment, Triquetra is using Access Database that generates Excel spreadsheets. Each piece is cataloged using the unique customer number you will be assigned.
If you have signed up for e-transfer, Triquetra will confirm with you regarding the pieces that have been sold and you will receive an e-transfer of funds the beginning of each month for the previous month's sales.
If you've opted for cash, those accounts will be settled once a month, at the end of the month, with funds to be collected the first week of the following month.
ALL accounts are settled at the end of every month, regardless of amount owing (you may get an e-transfer of $5!!)
You receive emails regarding these procedures throughout the process.
What we are currently seeing is a trend towards sales of plus size ladies clothing, although sales of everything is pretty constant.
Clients who have a diverse lot of clothing (ie a mix of some ladies tops, pants, men's items, exercise pieces, couple of pair of shoes, a purse or two, etc.) versus a client who has brought in simply 20 pair of pants tend to see their items sell a little bit better overall.
"Specialty Clothing" (ie prom, barn/workwear, formal, etc.) have additional marketing to entice particular clientele.
Our business model is clear that the items belong to YOU. This said, there is considerable time put in to cataloging, marketing, promotion, moving around the store, etc., as well as the time to remove items from our inventory early. Therefore, there will be a 20% fee of the listed price for any items you would like to remove from inventory earlier than the 90 days.
At the end of 90 days, Triquetra will either try to sell at 50% to recoup costs, and/or your items will be donated to local non-profit, (non-"big box store") organizations. We are in the process of gathering small, local organizations to make our donations to.
